His Princess

31Jul10

A man came along,
His face rugged and a smile adorn,
He told me he would whisk me away,
Even in bloody silk and scrapes astray.

I was his princess found in ashes.

He would claim that he loved me,
And take me to his sanctuary,
Love me; worship me,
From the top of my head
Till the tips of my toes.

He told me he loved me,
And he hid me from the world.
